About us

This website is managed by a group of glamfreaks. You´ve probably guessed that already.

Our main purpose is to keep the early 1970s - of course especially the GLAM era - alive and kicking.

In 2008 one of us started the Facebook-group Glamrock Of The 70s and here met the two other future administrators of this site. As of may 2010 the FB-group has over 2000 members worldwide and we found that the room for articles and pictures were too limited on Facebook, so we decided to open this website.

We will state very clearly, that this website is totally non-commercial and unindependent of any record company or glam artist. We will of course make room for news and information regarding the glamworld today but we will always feel free to write whatever we want about the issue.

We´re in contact with some of the major artists and producers of the glamworld and hope to share updated information - old as well as new - from those sources to our readers. The Facebook-group has many major members from the GLAM-world, including both producers and members from the original GLAM bands of the 70s.

We very much appreciate help from other GLAM-friends to contribute to this website. We have already received GLAM-biographies from readers and everybody is welcome to contribute if you have somthing to share.
